Clayton Conference Facilities

A series of conference and video conference spaces were provided at the Clayton CSIRO campus to permit seamless video conferencing experiences for CSIRO researchers and stakeholders around the country.

The facilities include current Audio Visual Infrastructure and the design focuses on issues of acoustics, colour contrast and line-of-sight to enhance the user experience. With larger VC rooms it was apparent that light coloured tables affect the camera and its ability to show the detail of User’s faces.

The Spurling Hewitson Conference centre includes a large seminar Room, 2x video conference rooms, foyer, and amenities which are designed to maximise the use of available space.

The design Workshops held determined the requirement for the facility to allow multiple user groups at the same time or as a centre for larger functions with Foyers for gathering.

A flexible multi-purpose learning and conference room with new amenities and upgraded access provided a fit for purpose facility.  Details and colours were inspired by the plastic banknotes that the CSIRO pioneered.
