Bourke and Bouteloup Architects have had a range of experience with research and laboratory design. We understand
the relevant Australian Standards, and the need for specific workflows and customised equipment usage.  We are familiar with Physical Containment standards, Office of Gene Technology Research (OGTR) and accreditation bodies that are requirements in laboratories.   We have design experience with facilities in the following research fields:

- Tissue Culture Malaria Lab (UoM Bio21); Civil, Environmental & Chemical Engineering (RMIT); Pharmacy teaching (RMIT); Rheology, PC2 soils, water and environmental (RMIT); Science faculty workshops (Monash); Neural Engineering - PC2 Biological Neuroscience and computational engineering (UoM); Nanofabrication Ziess Helium Ion microscope (UoM)

In each project we take care to engage with the researchers and stakeholders to include all the detail necessary to ensure that the facilities are fit and flexible for the workflows, research methods and support spaces required to deliver the research.
