Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre Landscape by Bourke & Bouteloup Architects

The Bureau of Meteorology Training centre project uses the landscape for training areas.  Activities such as weather balloon releases, project preparation and other observations occur on the campus grounds.  We designed landscape elements to support the outdoors learning activities and to encourage the use of external space for social learning activities, notably around the BBQ.  The site has significant views of the city towards the south, and the skyline is framed by a landscape wall.  The landscape elements work with the language of the building as infrastructure.
