West Footscray Clinic

An existing inner suburban art deco building was redesigned with a new and secure cohesive facade that integrates the clinic and the pharmacy as part of a common identity.  The new shop front emphasises the single building and parapet profile with the use of colour and new facade penetrations.  Colour and materials are used in public areas to provide a warm, de-institutionalised patient experience.

The work included redesigning the reception and waiting areas to achieve accessibility compliance and improve the identity of the practice whilst maintaining patient privacy.  New consulting rooms, pathology, treatment room and staff areas are provided to improve the functionality and management of the practice whilst enhancing the connection with the adjacent pharmacy.
