School of Medicine Optometry Clinic

The Deakin University School of Medicine, Optometry Clinic provides a contemporary and OCANZ accredited Optometry practice environment as part of the student learning experience. The 'shop front' within the Faculty of Health is a dedicated Learning space within the practice. The students will provide services to the local community to support local Optometry practices. The project includes six consulting suites, Clinical Discussion and Clinical Research rooms as well as a Learning/Waiting Room for collective student briefings.

The materials from the public areas of the existing building are re-employed together with the ishihara pattern to create a distinctive bamboo lined shell.
